Pass plus is a training course specifically aimed at new drivers,
designed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry.
Pass Plus will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, and can help you to become more confident on the roads.
Pass Plus is made up of six practical modules which include:
Driving at night
Dual carriageways
Motorways
The structured syllabus gives you the extra experience you need at a time when you are most likely to have an accident, and the amount you save on insurance could cover the cost of training.
Newly qualified drivers are a higher than average risk, the main factor is simply a lack of experience.
Develop your driving skills, so you can drive safely in all conditions and on all types of roads.
Until you do this you will be at a greater risk of being in a road accident.
As an indicator of its effectiveness, a recent survey of L test candidates carried out by ORC international for Driving Standards Agency, showed that of those who had taken Pass Plus:
93% felt more confident on the road.
89% considered that their driving skills had improved as a result of taking the course.
Pass Plus is much more than just a few driving lessons.
As well as gaining further driving experience under expert supervision, you will be taught how to deal with situations you may not have faced before.
Anyone who holds a full UK Driving Licence is eligible to take part in the scheme.
MGM Driving Tuition provide the Pass Plus course to any pupils that hold a full UK Driving licence.
The course generally lasts for six hours and if you have passed your test with MGM Driving Tuition you are able to do the course with your current Driving Instructor,
as all MGM Driving School Instructors are Pass Plus registered.
You will not have to take a test at the end of the course but will be continually assessed.
You must successfully complete all the modules in the course to an achieved or exceeded standard.
The course can be completed in a single day or split over several lessons to suit your individual needs.
Additional lessons can be taken if any certain areas need improving.
When you have successfully completed the course you will be issued with a certificate of completion.
